Date Posted: 06-12-23 Position: Health and Safety Advisor _ Female Job location: Abu Dhabi Key Duties and Responsibilities: To support the Health and Safety Manager (Corporate) in the following: To formulate, develop and monitor the implementation of health and safety policies, systems, procedures and standards for existing activities and new acquisitions/processes within the organisation in order to ensure effective risk management. Assessing hazards and conducting risk assessments on health and safety as per local authority standards and review them regularly. To implement and maintain procedures and processes for the reporting, investigation, recording and analysis of injury accidents, dangerous occurrences, near miss incidents and work-related ill health. To analyse the spot check trends, and proactively work with the teams to look for solutions. Ensure all departments are aware of H&S policies as set out by the company. To liaise with Heads of Department to identify safety training needs and ensure safety training programmes undertaken reflect the needs of the business. Develop department specific inspection and audit programmes. Proactively assist all departments with regards to their safe working practices and training, encourage solutions focus in tackling issues and helping teams to see their vision & future perfect with relation to H&S. Identify training needs and work with departments to ensure the holes are filled. Ensuring that training is engaging, and ensure a testing process is in place to test knowledge. Work with departments to develop departmental H&S plans to ensure that H&S is on everyone's agenda. Liaise with the local authorities and any external/internal auditors ensuring that the inspections/audits are carried out and all recommendations are followed up in a timely manner. Work with H&S Manager (Corporate) and the other departments on ad hoc projects. Work with H&S Manager (Corporate) to ensure that collective H&S goals are achieved. QUALIFICATIONS NEBOSH General Certificate NEBOSH Diploma in Occupational Health and Safety Management Fire Safety Course
