We are seeking a highly strategic and operational leader to join our SAMEA (South Asia, Middle East and Africa) leadership team. Reporting directly to the GM for the region, the role will drive long term strategy and annual business planning and help identify and incubate future growth opportunities based on deep market and cultural insights. The role will also be responsible for strategy execution and business monitoring by setting up best in class operating forums and mechanisms. The role provides an outstanding opportunity to drive growth in emerging markets and be part of the next wave of growth at Spotify.

This role can be based in Dubai or in Mumbai, India.

What You\'ll Do

• Drive planning projects and processes by developing 3-year and 5-year strategic plans to grow the business in the region
• Build data-driven models to evaluate the business impact of critical initiatives such as partnerships, investments, acquisitions, etc.
• Coordinate the creation of impactful and succinct presentations and memos
• Lead effective internal and external meetings
• Influence key executives and partners to support significant change
• Facilitate cross-functional strategic alignment and collaboration on key initiatives to impact business growth in the region
• work towards localising the Spotify product to the various emerging markets within the region
• Identify and monitor key market and competitive trends
• Work closely with the regional MDs.
• Lead a team of insights and Business Operations specialists to help drive growth in the region

Who You Are

• A minimum of 15 years\' of work experience
• Experience in multi-country operations in emerging growth markets in the region
• Experience in Africa and/or the Middle East with appreciation for local cultural nuances would be an advantage
• Strategic problem solver with the ability to transform goals into meaningful plans
• Direct experience in consulting and/or in an internal strategy role (preferably within media industry)
• Extensive experience building sophisticated, multi-year business plan models
• Proven experience crafting strategy to fuel growth of the business in emerging markets
• Strong leadership experience
• Experienced in implementing strategic and large-scale initiatives in a fast-paced
• environment
• Enjoys getting into the details and solving complex problems, all the while maintaining a good balance between attention to detail and swift execution
• Ability to gather and coordinate with multiple teams in order to achieve a common goal
• You are an excellent communicator who is able to network and develop deep relationships across the organization
