As Regulatory and Quality you are overall responsible for Product Stewardship and Regulatory Affairs in IFFCO Group.
The incumbent is responsible for the regulatory approval of food products and labels as well as influencing regulations, legislation and industry protocols to the benefit of company interests.
Roles & Responsibilities
Drive regulatory leadership to support product development and ensure successful implementation and execution of regulatory plans to support product approval and commercialization.
Provide regulatory due diligence assessments of new business opportunities as required
Understand and interpret local and regional laws, regulations, guidance, and global regulatory and political developments throughout the geographic areas where the products are marketed while ensuring that elements, quality, accuracy and format of regulatory submissions comply with applicable laws and regulatory standards.
Build partnerships with senior key stakeholders from other functions to ensure that strategic business goals are met through the sharing of knowledge and expertise.
Engage with key customers, Peer Company\'s, Suppliers & represent IFFCO at industry forums to support country specific regulatory objectives.
Liaise and negotiate with global regulatory authorities as needed for all aspects pertaining to product development including resolution of key regulatory issues and to expedite approvals of products.
Develop specific requirements and protocols in both quality and regulatory areas for all suppliers
Manages all customers and consumers complaints and build needed action plan
Create and monitor the IFFCO regulatory check list and manual
Manage the methodology and strategy for our factories/assembly sites to follow in producing quality product in the respect of Product Specifications and local regulations.
Authorizes the operations on these sites and ensures that adequate action plans are in place.
Participate into Concept phase of product development to set quality and regulatory risks
studying scientific and legal documents
Gather, evaluate, organise, manage and collate information in a variety of formats ensuring compliance with regulations set by the relevant Regulatory Agencies and Authorities.
Maintain the records of company product ranges and information.
Plan, undertake and oversee product trials and regulatory inspections
Keep up to date with changes in regulatory legislation and guidelines
Outline requirements for labelling, storage and packaging
Write comprehensible, user-friendly, clear product information leaflets and labels

Work experience requirement
12+ years of experience in Regulatory Affairs in food manufacturing industry, including an in-depth knowledge and understanding of the Regulatory environment. International experience is a plus.
Excellent verbal and written skills are key; combined with the ability to analyse and effectively convey difficult and complex issues to internal and external stakeholders, including Senior Management.
Flexibility and sensitivity to work with many cultures and across time zones is crucial to be successful in this position

A BSc or MSc. in food science, biochemistry, chemistry, toxicology or a closely related field
