Job Description
I am working with an innovative and forward-thinking bank who are committed in keeping up with the pace of the ever changing and challenging market demands. With a mission goal of delivering the highest level of service to both customers and shareholders, along with fulfilling the national agenda of economic and social growth, they are seeking a experienced Head Of System Development & Applications Support to join their headquarter branch in Muscat, Oman.
Reporting to the Head of IT, you will be responsible for supervising all activities relating to the design, development and implementation of technology standards and best practices throughout the organisation.

Key skills required
- Demonstratable ability to be able to think in a strategic and integrated way
- Strong knowledge and experience of ITSM
- Experience of working within a well-defined service management environment based around ITIL practices
- Application development lifecycle
- Thorough understanding of the principles of Change and Release Management.
- Proven knowledge and skills in Project Management
- Proven knowledge and skills in Service Management
- IT Governance and Information Security
- Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to provide solutions for complex issues
- Strong leadership & mentoring skills with the ability to maximise the potential of the team
- Proven history of solution management
- Good understanding of agile and lean principles for continuous improvement & innovation
- Experience of implementing and improving release and change management processes
