Job Overview
The School Psychology Service is responsible for providing specialist support to schools in the areas of student behavior, learning & motivation, mental health and wellbeing, psychological assessment (formal and informal), emergency & critical incident management, child protection, intervention and consultation services: vidual, group, whole school and system levels; proactively and responsively; directly and indirectly. The Head of Section (Education Psychology) leads and manages the delivery of services and support to schools and networks in accordance with the strategic directors of the school system, legislation and policies.

The successful applicant will be required to monitor compliance with the professional standards for school psychology services for school operations, in consultation with lead school psychologists and other stakeholders,while providing professional leadership to all school psychologists.

The job is based in Abu Dhabi City but will require travel throughout the region.

Requirements

- Qualifications
Doctoral or Masters degree in Psychology (with specialization in

Education Psychology or related field).Registered / Licensed to practice as a School/

Education Psychologist in current jurisdiction, and eligible to be licensed as an (Education) Psychologist within Abu Dhabi Emirate.
Registration with a Psychology Board in current jurisdiction.
Must possess:

the ability to synthesize and interpret diagnostic and assessment data

a comprehensive knowledge of school psychology theory, child / adolescent development, substance abuse education, tests andmeasurements, child protection, and crisis management.
the ability to practically apply assessment, counseling,interviewing, and crisis intervention skills.
- Maximum age is 57 years at start of contract due to visa restrictions.

MINIMUM Job

Requirements - Experience
- 10+ years of experience as an

Education Psychologist, AND
3+ years of experience at a senior level with successful experience in supervising and managing team(s) of

Education Psychologists.
- Experience implementing and clear evidence of impact on sustained school improvement in exceptionally good school systems / or international school organisations

- Experience of working in cross cultural environment settings

Benefits:

Salary of 52000 AED per month (624,000 AED), tax free. The salary is based on number of years of experience, teaching qualifications and highest degree obtained.

Flight at beginning and end of two year renewable contract - for employee, spouse and 3 dependent children (if already in the UAE, flights only provided at end of contract)

Health insurance (UAE wide) - for employee, spouse and 3 dependent children

Note:

the salary is inclusive of housing allowance and NO further dependent benefits (such as tuition allowances) are provided
