We are looking to appoint an experienced Head of School Counselling (Primary Specialist) to start in August 2023. The successful candidate will be an outstanding School Counsellor, who will take responsibility for whole school practices, but should also be a specialist in the area of primary counselling (Age 3-11). An experienced practitioner, the successful candidate will lead a small team and will have the knowledge and understanding of a complex position in order to liaise frequently with inclusion, education and behaviour specialists. The Head of School Counselling will take primary responsibility for whole school wellbeing and be familiar with important frameworks surrounding successful support and implementation. Experience of an English National Curriculum setting would be preferred but not essential, however, the successful candidate must be able to demonstrate experience of working with or within schools. Our ideal candidate will have:

• Previous experience as a line manager within Counselling Department.
• Qualification in children counselling
• Experience working with pupils across all key stages and abilities.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Excellent organisation and time management.
• Commitment to the values of inclusion, diversity and wellbeing.
