Head of Quality and Environment

Your role Saab are looking to expand our team with a Head of Quality and Environment to support our fast paced growth. The main focus for this position will be to ensure performance, quality and delivery of products and services, that requirements are fulfilled and that business operations are continuously improving. Specific responsibilities of the Head of Quality and Environment are: To lead the operational and strategic quality and environmental work To ensure that the Management System is established, documented, implemented and maintained in accordance with the quality policy, international standards (ISO 9001 and 14001), customer requirements and requirements from authorities and other stakeholders To monitor the ongoing performance and outputs of the customer deliveries and report to management To manage and plan audits to the extent to ensure compliance with the management systems and identified requirements To support the Product Unit in all matters relating to Quality and Environmental Management To plan and carry out management reviews for the quality and environment management systems To provide the development projects with support and direction in the areas of Quality and Envronmental Management To grow and mangage a team of Quality and Environmental Engineers necessary to support the growth of the business. To work with multifuctional teams to create and maintain processes, procedures and work instructions required to support the quality system To coordinate and document the interested parties analysis To ensure that evaluation of compliance to environmental legislation is performed To ensure the Envrionemntal Aspects register is maintained and approiate action taken when required. To support the Sourcing and Production department with supplier audits and evaluations To implement and maintain quality and environmental processes, procedures and work instructions within the production facility in coordination with the Sourcing and Production department. To secure resources within the area of responsibility.

Experince & Skills Bachelor's degree with a minimum of 8 years of related experience in Quality and Environmental Management, proven experience of working within development and manufacturing organisations, high level of experience with both ISO 9001 and 14001 quality systems and audits. Experiance within the defence or aerospace industry is an advantage. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Strong understanding of quality and environmental management principles and practices, specifically related to a design, development and production environment. Strong leadership skills coupled with the ability to grow and develop a high performing department. Experience in performing the Management Representative role including perfoming management reviews and leading 3rd party audits. Experience with ERP systems. Experience with ISO 3100 (Risk Management) and ISO 27001 (Information Security) is desirable. Strong communication, presentation, analytical and problem-solving skills. Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office experience required. Ability to communicate well with all levels of employeees and with other departments. You must be able to express yourself in English, both oral and in written word. Valid UAE driver's license

This position requires that you undergo a security screening in accordance with the Saab internal processes.
