Role Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Head of Payments with a strong background in Forex / CFD brokerage or financial markets. The role will lead all payment operations, strategy, and provider relationships, ensuring secure, compliant, and scalable payment solutions for global retail and professional trading clients.

The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience managing high-risk payments in regulated trading environments.

Key Responsibilities:

Payments Strategy & Operations

Own the full lifecycle of client deposits, withdrawals, refunds, and internal settlements Design and execute payment strategy aligned with business growth and regulatory requirements Maintain high approval rates and low transaction failure ratios

PSP & Banking Relationships

Manage and negotiate with acquiring banks, PSPs, EMIs, and payment gateways Onboard and manage multiple payment methods (cards, local APMs, wallets, bank transfers) Ensure backup PSPs and geographic payment coverage

Compliance, Risk & Chargebacks

Collaborate with Compliance, AML, and Risk teams Ensure payment processes comply with SCA regulations, AML/KYC, and card scheme rules Lead chargeback, fraud, and dispute management Monitor and mitigate payment abuse, arbitrage, and suspicious activity

Technology & Integration

Coordinate integrations with MT4/MT5, CRM, and back-office systems Support API-based payment automation and reconciliation Improve client payment experience and processing speed

Reporting & Controls

Track daily volumes, success rates, fees, chargebacks, and risk indicators Produce management and regulatory reports Implement internal SOPs and payment controls

Required Experience & Skills:

Mandatory

7+ years in payments within Forex, CFD, or financial trading industries 3+ years in a senior payments or leadership role Direct experience handling high-risk merchants Strong knowledge of card schemes, PSPs, and chargeback rules Experience working with regulated brokers

Technical & Industry Knowledge

Visa / Mastercard processing PSP onboarding and contract negotiations Alternative payment methods (regional & international) Payment reconciliation and settlement cycles MT4 / MT5 trading environment

Preferred (Strong Advantage)

UAE or GCC market experience Exposure to SCA / FCA / CySEC / ASIC brokers Crypto on/off-ramp experience (USDT, BTC, etc.) Existing PSP and bank relationships
