JOB TITLE: Head of Learning & Development KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Manages the development of detailed curricula for technical, professional and leadership training, linked to the company vision.
  • Leads training needs analysis across the organization to identify priorities for training. Ensures delivery against these prioritized training needs, with fit-for-purpose and timely training.
  • Designs blended learning solutions that optimize learning delivery and impact, making appropriate use of digital tools where possible.
  • Maintains a good knowledge of trends and models in learning, vendors, and the latest thinking, and uses this knowledge to help Petrofac find the best solutions for learning and development.
  • Leads the Pathway programmes for the development of supervisors, managers and leaders, and to enhance project management skills in the business.
  • Provides oversight to competency assessment and management.
  • Sets up and maintains a process to measure the transfer of learning to employees and finds ways to measure the impact of learning on performance.

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:
  • Degree educated and experienced in managing training in a major organization with a global remit.
  • Up-to-date knowledge of the latest learning developments and models, especially for technical training.
  • Excellent knowledge of learning curricula for supporting the development of SMEs in engineering and projects, as well as professionals in organizations.
  • Strong consulting skills, including the ability to facilitate dialogue with and influence senior business leaders and specialists, and HR peers.
  • Leadership skills to manage a team of professionals.
  • Strong analytical skills to interrogate data, diagnose issues, and arrives at well-reasoned conclusions.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to plan ahead, sequencing company-level learning and performance activities within a 3-to-5 year timeframe.
  • Ambitious and committed to own career development, while simultaneously being able to work very collaboratively with colleagues.
