Description
Our client is a large banking institution in the UAE and they are looking to appoint a Head of Internal Audit. The incumbent will be responsible for the overall Internal Audit function, as per industry best practices and principles.
Key Responsibilities:
- Devise the annual audit plan, initiate project planning, and risk assessment, and develop audit direction.
- Develop, implement, and recommend policies and procedures.
- Investigate causes of irregularities and errors and examine the effectiveness of existing systems.
- Issue all Internal Audit reports liaising with external auditors to ensure compliance and adherence with the company's guidelines.
- Conduct performance appraisals to review employees' performance.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Finance, Accounting, Banking, or another closely related field.
- CIA, CPA, or CA certification is required.
- 15 or more years experience in auditing or accounting, of which at least 5 thereof in a managerial role.
- Fluency in English is essential.
