ROLE SUMMARY
Business Insights draws robust actionable analytical insights from multiple internal and external data sources of data that supports decision making at AstraZeneca and also assures appropriate usage of data & insights by different layers of commercial organization as a data-driven insights-based organization.
This role works with business to understand their strategic business priorities, frames the issues, design analytics and insights plans, ensure quality execution of those plans and delivery of actionable insights. Proper execution of this role will result in superior performance and efficiency of GCC businesses by ensuring business is strategically aligned to the external growth drivers. The role will also serve as primary relationship manager to GCC Leadership team and will partner with BUDs, CDs, Finance, Commercial Operations, SFE, IT and other functions as necessary to ensure all resources are leveraged to build capability and robust solutions to business issues.
What you\xe2\x80\x99ll do
Set a vision and provide day-to-day actionable business insights in conjunction with cross functional teams across GCC.
Foster an environment and culture characterized by high performance, impactful work, customer focus, analytic innovation, insight integration, best practice sharing and pride.
Work proactively with relevant cross-functional partners to share knowledge and expertise and to ensure cohesive activities and quality analysis and insights.
Lead the definition and consistency of business metrics, striving for continuous improvement in analytic approaches across all brands and business units.
Drive knowledge management to identify and maximize cross-category and cross-market synergies.
Serve as a strategic analytics advisor to GCC leadership, proactively engaging and partnering with business colleagues to identify and prioritize business challenges and lead development of analytically-based solutions that enable informed decision-making.
Ensure the delivery & usage of analytics & insights including:
Secondary data analysis to ensure comprehensive understanding of market dynamics, including competitive insights, industry trends, market access dynamics, and portfolio performance
Working closely with SFE team to integrate lead measures (sales force, medical, KAM, MA interactions etc) and map it to Key lag measures (demand, consumption, IQVIA data points etc) to guide effective use of organizational resources.
Data reporting & stewardship, including identification of new data sources in partnership with Digital.
Making use of advanced analytics including predictive modelling, data science, and artificial intelligence/machine learning, working as warranted and in partnership with IT & Digital, Finance, ComEx, BUs and other business partners to identify critical above brand KPIs for each business
Actively seek opportunities to work with cross functional teams to identify solutions and services that build on analytic insights.
Be an active member, share knowledge of successful analytics and insights.
Essential for the role
Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s degree required,
High level of business acumen, enterprise leadership & communication skills
Thinks strategically, acts decisively, drives performance, & works collaboratively
10+ years of experience in business analytics function, country strategy and/or strategic consulting
Extensive experience across data analytics, primary and secondary market research, data reporting, data processing, use of AI/ML and commercial analytic tools; specific experience in marketing and sales is highly desired
Experience of project work under tight deadlines and service levels across different technology bases
Desirable for the role
Masters degree in business and strategy.
Ability to identify process gaps and provided sustainable solutions
Extensive knowledge about the pharmaceutical industry, including relevant data sources required to understand and generate insights about the market; knowledge of GCC will be highly desired
