The role broadly involves 4 aspects (including the below but not limited to): * Multi country accounting, processes and compliance matters (including but not limited to):
Oversee and review all accounting tasks as per the applicable regulations & standards
Manage payables, receivables/collections and payroll
Manage taxes and all other compliances.
Plan and manage all audit and internal financial control operations.
Set up and implement all finance process controls (e.g. DOA, expense controls).
Manage the processes with the banks (e.g. approvals, FDs)
Manage and maintain compliance of all legal entities to ensure good standing of each entity in the required jurisdictions, e.g. license renewal, submission of audited reports.
Manage all other requirements to adhere to financial laws and guidelines (e.g. intercompany agreements)
Financial planning, analysis and reporting (including but not limited to):
Lead all FP&A including forecasting, budgeting, and cash flow management. Build & amend / manage monthly, quarterly, and annual forecasts.
Prepare, analyze / monitor and report all financial KPIs and ensure timely reporting / presentation of all financial statements against the budget to internal and external (e.g. Shareholders/investors, Board members).
Provide insights and strategic inputs from financial reporting statements
Ensure timely analysis and presentation of detailed KPIs (channelwise margins, unit economics etc).
Liaise with the accounting tams of the investors / other stakeholders to secure approvals where required (e.g. Board\xe2\x80\x99s adoption of annual financial statements)
Strategic & Commercial finance (including but not limited to):
Partner with founders on fundraising strategies and execution (debt and equity)
Lead finance part for investor pitches (P&L/BS/cashflow projections etc)
Study tax implication in relation to the holding structure and country operations & amend the structure time to time as required (with assistance with lawyers, consultants).
Lead negotiations for major spends and build commercial processes for enhancing bottom line
Lead use of technology for everything related to finance.
Maintain and update all funding related documents as and when required with the partnership with corporate service providers and legal counsels.
Build a stellar accounts & finance organization (not limited to):
Evolve / build an efficient organization structure for multi-country operations
Build a stellar team through development & hire
Balance team size, team progression and overall function cost
Job Requirements \xef\x82\xa7 Has done multiple roles in Accounts & Finance (in same or different organizations) including as Sr Finance professional with an experience of managing multi country operations. Indicative - 8+ years of experience \xef\x82\xa7 Should have an advanced degree in Finance - CA (preferred) / MBA Finance \xef\x82\xa7 Has independently managed full P&L/ reporting for reasonable size organization \xef\x82\xa7 Knows and adheres to generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) and regulatory commissions / rules and regulations. \xef\x82\xa7 Familiar with ERP / Softwares, demonstrated track record of using technology to automate processes \xef\x82\xa7 Value creation / Strategic finance mindset; operational \'can do\' attitude \xef\x82\xa7 Strong analytical skills, communication skills and commercial acumen \xef\x82\xa7 Displays strong relationship with businesses and digital / technology teams and is able to mobilize the finance team in a high paced / changing start up environment. \xef\x82\xa7 Manages direct reports and leads a growing team.
