Job Description

We are leading the executive search for a Head of e-commerce on behalf of our market-leading client, a long-established specialist in the Manufacturing & FMCG sectors.

Key Responsibilities:
Lead the design and initiation of a multi-vendor marketplace solution, ensuring a seamless and user-friendly platform for buyers and sellers.
Lead product customization across various product verticals and brands within the marketplace, collaborating with teams to identify customization opportunities and implement effective solutions.
Work closely with product, vertical sales, and marketing teams to develop strategies and align efforts to drive sales and maximize revenue.
Build regional sales capabilities by providing training and knowledge to sales teams, enabling them to effectively promote and sell products within their respective regions.
Drive the growth of the e-commerce business unit, taking ownership of the e-commerce profit and loss (P&L) statement and implementing strategies to increase revenue and optimize costs.
Demonstrate strong leadership skills, guiding and motivating teams towards achieving business objectives, and fostering a collaborative and innovative work environment.
Apply project management methodologies to ensure the successful execution of marketplace initiatives, managing timelines, resources, and stakeholder expectations.
Deliver impactful presentations to internal and external audiences, effectively communicating strategies, results, and proposals.

Experience & Qualifications:
Bachelor\'s degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
Minimum of 10 years of experience in B2B fulfillment, demonstrating a strong understanding of complex operations and driving growth in the e-commerce industry.
Hands-on experience leading a B2B e-commerce start-up business operation, showcasing practical insights into establishing and scaling an e-commerce venture.
In-depth knowledge of e-commerce logistics and supply chain management principles, including order fulfillment, inventory management, and supply chain optimization.
Proven project management skills, with the ability to effectively plan, execute, and monitor initiatives within defined timelines and budgets.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the capability to articulate ideas, negotiate effectively, and build strong relationships with stakeholders.
Exceptional problem-solving skills, with the capacity to identify and address challenges, develop innovative solutions, and make informed decisions.
