Job Purpose

DP World E-Commerce FZE is a subsidiary of the global trade enabler DP World, focused on facilitating domestic and cross-border trade and logistics businesses by offering advanced B2B and B2C e-commerce marketplaces using an integrated suite of hi-tech solutions and services.

The Head of E-Commerce is responsible for creating and executing the E-Commerce strategy for Dubuy.com in alignment with the overarching Digital Technology & Logistics objectives, and for the cross-functional collaboration to lead and manage all aspects of the business including Commercial, Marketing, Sales, Customer Experience, Cataloging, Logistics, Finance, and in liaison with other supporting business units including Product Development, Trade Finance and Group Regional Offices.

Key Accountabilities

• Work with the Divisional COO and other executives to establish short- and long-term goals and objectives, related plans, and policies to align with Dubuy\'s mission to become the "Verb" of Trade, connecting global businesses through a seamless, trusted platform.
• Create and maintain the E-Commerce strategy for B2B and B2C platforms and lead the execution in all aspects including global expansion, business planning, content strategy and development, marketing and promotional campaigns, user experience and customer service, fulfilment and logistics, product development, web analytics, and all related technologies.
• Ensure compliance with all applicable laws, rules, regulations, and standards and enforce adherence to legal guidelines and Group Internal Policies to protect the business and maintain an optimal level of legality and compliance in all applicable jurisdictions.
• Lead the development and management of the E-Commerce budget. Own the E-Commerce P&L, control performance vs budget and take appropriate measures to correct any unsatisfactory performance or results.
• Lead and control the onboarding and sales strategies and plans, ensuring suppliers and products have optimal and competitive positioning and pricing in every target market.
• Negotiate and build trust relations with potential partners and key stakeholders and act as a point of contact for strategic partners.
• Direct the development of high-standard and scalable technology platforms that can deliver excellent user experience and adequately represent the DP World brand values.
• Ensure smooth and reliable operation of the platforms in all instances and proactively monitor performance and plan for enhancements.
• Review financial, analytical, operational and all other types of reports to devise solutions and improvements.
• Analyse challenging situations and incidences and provide solutions to ensure business continuity and growth.
• Lead and motivate the E-Commerce teams to advance engagement and develop a high performing organization.
• Maintain a deep knowledge of the markets and industry and regularly perform competitor analysis and benchmarking and take all necessary measures to sustain a leading position.

Qualifications, Experience and Skills

Qualifications

• Bachelor\'s degree in a relevant field.
• Master\'s degree preferred.

Experience

• 10 Years in a senior managerial position.
• Experience in developing profitable strategies and implementing vision.
• Strong understanding of corporate finance and performance management principles.
• Familiarity with diverse business functions such as marketing, logistics, finance etc.

Skills

• An entrepreneurial mindset with outstanding organizational and leadership skills, and passion to manage and motivate diverse teams.
• Thorough knowledge and professional experience in B2C and B2B E-Commerce and trade & logistics at large.
