About the Role




The Head of Digital and Marketing (Western Region) is responsible for leading the overall digital strategy and marketing function of the Western region. The role leads the regional conceptual planning and execution of all Digital and Marketing plans including budgeting with the objective of achieving the main KPIs of revenue, brand awareness, corporate penetration, digital direct and loyalty.


The role oversees the development and execution of all marketing channels and ensures to achieve the objectives of optimizing omnichannel approach. Further, it ensures that the appropriate digital marketing processes are in place to deliver efficient and successful campaigns for all sub-regions. The successful candidate will be on top of the regional and sub-regional performance, by ensuring correct tracking, monitoring and reporting is being implemented.


Your key accountabilities include:


Strategic


Elaborates the marketing strategy to drive brand awareness, corporate & leisure revenues as well as sales via QR.com and all related platforms at regional level, with focus on digital direct. Accountable to reach all set targets and objectives for digital and marketing within the agreed cost of sale. Sets all necessary KPIs for each digital channel and sub-channel for the regions and sub-regions. Budget and manage the marketing budget of the airline in the most cost-efficient way to achieve agreed KPIs. Ensures to grow the share of Loyal consumers through marketing campaigns, tools and technologies. Grows ancillary revenues to achieve the pre-agreed targets. Establishes regional partnerships geared towards reinforcing Qatar Airways position in all markets. Research new digital payment modes adapted to the regional conditions and allowing greater penetration of digital direct. Grow direct traffic and owned media share in the e-marketing portfolio and subsequently decrease dependency on paid advertisement. Actively contributes to increase digital share penetration in all markets at regional and sub-regional level as well as on main traffic flows. Establishes digital direct as the preferred channel in the regions by implementing significant USPs. Grows the B2B revenue according to the central strategy of the company.
Operational


Establishes a calendar of marketing activities with the objective of reaching all pre set KPIs of the region. Accountable to constantly monitor performance of all channels including offline marketing channels and digital paid, owned and earned for all regions and markets. Ensures each channel will achieve the respective objectives, KPIs with help of comprehensive dashboards and performance tools. Adheres to budgeting, workflows and process. Works in close collaboration with Pricing, Loyalty, CRM and all necessary Department in order to achieve targets. Implements efficient media buy processes for the region and works with the Hub to achieve the needed efficiencies for the whole region.
Management & Leadership


Establish the department or team's objectives and priorities to align with and support business objectives. Regularly evaluate the department or team's objectives, plan, procedures and practices, and makes appropriate changes if needed. Train and develop team members to ensure succession planning is in place.

Qualifications



About you




The successful candidate will have the following qualifications and skills:


Bachelor's Degree or Equivalent with minimum 10 years of job-related experience. Strong experience in Marketing as well as in Digital. With previous position held in a managerial Marketing role. With relevant experience in corporate business acquisition, partnerships and loyalty marketing. With relevant knowledge of overall marketing fundamentals including brand awareness techniques. Knowledge of digital marketing techniques and advanced Mar-tech knowledge. In-depth knowledge of all digital channels and sub-channels. Strong command of English language - excellent communication skills. Strong leadership experience - able to manage diverse teams and cross-functional groups. Able to work in high-pressure and fast paced work environment. Able to delegate work, set clear direction and manage workflow with strong mentoring and coaching skills.
