Head of Digital
This position works out of our UAE location in Abbott Rapid Diagnostics Division
Primary Objective of Position
Be a role model to lead the \xe2\x80\x9cdigitalization\xe2\x80\x9d of the Rapids ID organization in EEMEA, setting up the digital strategy, and building the digital capabilities of the organization, at area and country level.
Drive brand related programs and activities to ensure Abbott\xe2\x80\x99s brand reputation, voice, perception and image is safeguarded and represented in an optimal way. This includes as well driving brand awareness related campaigns and activations around the brand overall, specific programs as well as existing and new product launches. Support in driving new and innovative business models for our various products and services.
This all with the aim to help drive the business, so that the organization\'s short and long-term business objectives are met, comply with regulations and standards, and protect the organization\'s public reputation.
Major Accountabilities
Lead the development and execution of integrated Digital marketing and communications campaigns, including collaborating and actively problem solving with cross-functional peers in marketing, Public Affairs to ensure timely and strong execution as well as ensuring alignment with the business objectives and goals.
Direct and manage the execution of Digital brand related projects and sales campaigns, along with ensuring clear metrics and KPIs are in place to increase brand awareness and loyalty
Drive our brand positioning and image beyond our owned media, through environmental co-branding projects with our customers (pilot sites)
Digital & E-commerce
Manage online marketing budget and online based strategy for social media marketing, email marketing, search engine marketing, mobile marketing and display advertising
Analyse and report on online marketing channels to reach performance goals through strong collaboration with media planners, public affairs and contracted agencies
Optimize E-commerce web site performance and monitor wed site traffic & conversions
Ensure integration of next generation digital platforms moving into automation and identify opportunities to better integrate with Salesforce.com and increase our database of customers
Ensure our brand is effectively represented on various online/digital channels, such as our websites, Linkedin, partners\xe2\x80\x99 websites etc
Set the strategy for our marketing automation campaigns, ensuring the creation of year-long always-on automated journeys
Strengthen Rapids ID\xe2\x80\x99s digital capabilities by building in-region (EEMEA) digital know-how
Assess the business for opportunities to leverage Digital tools to optimize and simplify work across the various functions
\xe2\x80\x9cDigitalize\xe2\x80\x9d Rapids ID and increase digital capabilities of the Region (EEMEA) in Headquarters and countries
Marketing Planning
Set and drive internal and external communication programs to create awareness and drive engagement with our brand and products, including online/offline channels.
Lead content generation to be used in both online and offline channels
Drive/support the creation of new opportunities/business models for private/public sectors beyond our direct customer (the lab), through creating messages/content, promotional material and various communications.
Manage our media plan for our promotional campaigns (online and offline publications and channels), working closely with the public affairs team to ensure alignment and effective collaboration on brand and product related releases
Be actively present in social media groups and professional platforms to discuss industry-related topics
Review and monitor all ad-promo material to ensure the brand is effectively and accurately represented from a visual and messaging perspective, together with close collaborations with regulatory to ensure alignment to policies and procedures
Support the Digital elements of our sponsorship efforts and engagement in key events and congresses, ensuring our brands are effectively represented and positioned, along with effective products and services promotion
Oversee appropriate agency relationships and program work in support of strategy
Cross-Functional Collaboration
Close collaboration with the different cross functional team members, to ensure alignment on new material being created, objectives, channels to use, target audiences and messages, and amplification targets.
Network with industry experts and potential clients to drive brand awareness
Partner with the global, area and country marketers to leverage the content and activations, and with cross-functional counterparts to develop brand programs in support of objectives.
Compliance with Company policies
Ensure compliance with the relevant legislation and local regulatory authority requirements
Adhere to the Abbott code of Business Conduct as well as all Abbott policies and procedures
Operate with integrity and ethics at all times
Education
A minimum of a Bachelors degree is required, and a post-graduate qualification in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations or Digital Marketing
Email Marketing (marketing automation) software (such as Marketo, Campaign Monitor, Pardot, Google Analytics, Hubspot)
Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook)
Data analytics tools (Excel, Tableau)
Good understanding of digital channels (web, social, advertising)
Knowledge of SEO and Google Analytics
English excellence is a must
20% travel required
Background
Proven work experience of at least 5 years in the Digital space, marketing communication or , preferrable in the healthcare industry
Experience into the healthcare industry or consumer health
Familiarity with B2B and B2C advertising campaigns
Hands-on experience with web content management tools
Analytical skills; ability to consume, identify and act on data
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Resourceful, Self-motivated, eager learner, good organizational skills, detail-oriented, ability to prioritize, multi-task and meet deadlines
