The opportunity We are looking to appoint an experienced Head of Communications to join our team. Reporting directly to the Chief Operating Officer, the post holder will be responsible for managing all aspects of communication, both internally and externally. This position will be instrumental in supporting the delivery of outcomes of the Communication Strategy through leading and coordinating the efforts of the front-facing administrative functions at DC to all stakeholders. Interacting with stakeholders at all levels, they will understand the varied communication needs of a large and varied community and have keen attention to detail. To be successful, you will be versatile, known to be can-do by nature, and motivated by a need to find solutions to problems. You will be calm under pressure, able to demonstrate an ability to prioritise tasks, be highly motivated and personable, and be able to build strong relationships and communicate effectively with a range of different audiences. You would be expected to work flexible hours and working times to suit the needs of the business, though most days would run to a routine pattern. Selection Process

Pre-interview tasks: Long-listed candidates will have tasks to complete remotely set on 11 May for submission on 13 May. Interviews: 18 May 2023 with short-listed candidates receiving a presentation title on 14 May and submitting slides on 16 May 2023. Targeted start date: 1 June 2023 (but we would be happy to wait for the right candidate) We reserve the right to close a position early for operational reasons.
