The Head of Communications Middle East and Africa is a critical role in positioning Siemens Energy in the MEA region as well as being responsible for leading a diverse, multinational, experienced, and highly motivated team of communication professionals. This role is part of the regional leadership team at Siemens Energy, working directly with HUB Heads across the different regions, reporting directly to the Global Head of Communications

Responsibilities
Lead, develop, and implement strategies and tactics. Translate global communication frameworks into regional/local targeted programs
Ensure alignment of all communication plans, programs, and initiatives with the global communication approach
Provide communication support, advice, and coaching to the senior HUB(s) management
Ensure international best practices and operational excellence across the regional team
Deliver in a timely manner and within budgets, supported by robust evaluation to demonstrate communication value add
Develop programs to build and embed communication capabilities within the regional leadership community
Provide inspirational and effective leadership to a team of communication professionals assuring the quality of their work, actively developing the global team, evaluating objectives/achievements
Motivate, support, and encourage staff to develop their professional and personal skills. Provide energetic, inspirational, and expert leadership according to the Siemens Energy leadership essentials
Work closely with all the other functions within Corporate Communications, Human Resources, Strategy, Business Development, Sales, and Government Affairs
What You Bring / Skills, Capabilities
Master\'s degree or equivalent in communications/media, journalism, public relations, business, or a related field
Over 7 years\' experience in a senior communications leadership role, preferably within a global organization
A proven track record in developing strategies and tactics and translating global communication frameworks into regional/local targeted programs
Have previous experience in crisis communication
A strong advocate of diversity and proven track record of growing team members
KPI-oriented leader with a strong data mindset
Ability to provide strategic communication consulting to senior executives
Strong business acumen and a solid understanding of business and finances
Excellent knowledge of all aspects related to change communication
Proven track record in managing multiple, complex communication projects within international multicultural matrix environment
Experience working in a multicultural and international organization
The drive and initiative to continually seek/create and champion new innovative ideas/concepts to develop innovative communication strategies and solutions
A high level of strategic, analytical, and conceptual thinking to structure business issues and translate them into appropriate, cost-effective, and innovative communication solutions
Previously demonstrated negotiation and problem-solving skills
Resilient personality with the ability to deal with ambiguity and the unknown
Commitment oriented personality and the ability to teamwork in a complex and multicultural matrix environment
Excellent interpersonal/communication skills, both written and spoken with the ability to influence
