We are looking for a Head of Aircraft Flight Physics for a permanent employment with a cutting-edge civil and military aircraft manufacturer based in Abu Dhabi. JOB DESCRIPTION : The role of the Head of Flight Physics will be to bring his/her expertise to a new aircraft development program in the fields of aerodynamics, flight dynamics, loads, aero-elasticity, mass properties and aircraft performance.
Reporting to Aircraft Program Manager, the candidate will oversee the below activities:
We are looking for a Head of Aircraft Flight Physics for a permanent employment with a cutting-edge civil and military aircraft manufacturer based in Abu Dhabi. JOB DESCRIPTION : The role of the Head of Flight Physics will be to bring his/her expertise to a new aircraft development program in the fields of aerodynamics, flight dynamics, loads, aero-elasticity, mass properties and aircraft performance.
Reporting to Aircraft Program Manager, the candidate will oversee the below activities:
- External aerodynamics: shape design and propulsion integration, aerodynamic data for handling qualities, performance & loads
- Experimental aerodynamics: wind tunnel tests, engine test bench and flight tests
- Flight Dynamics (development of light flight mechanics models, flight test and flight analysis, stability and control assessment, sizing of control surface, hinge moment analysis)
- Loads and aeroelastic covering static, dynamic and fatigue loads, covering flight loads, gust, manoeuvres, and ground loads.
- Aircraft performance modelling and studies
- Weight and balance
- Team management & reporting to Company\xe2\x80\x99s higher management
- Master of Aerospace Engineering or PHD
- 10-15 years\xe2\x80\x99 experience in Aeronautics within Flight Physics department
- Excellent presentation and communication capabilities in English
- Interface with client, company higher management, suppliers
- Experience or abilities to lead a team.
- Ideally experience of working in a fast-paced environment with multicultural team
