The Head Coach leads the team of Coaches and sets the tone and expectation for the team. They must be physically active and have a desire to support others. In addition to training and supporting the Coaches, they must have excellent interpersonal / customer management skills to easily engage and interact with Members & Guests. An ability to identify sales opportunities from Member or Guest feedback is also expected for the role.
Responsibilities & Accountabilities
Working Hours: Monday to Friday (full day), Saturday (half day)
The Head Coach's responsibilities & accountabilities include:
Coaching & Leadership
Execute group classes, assessments and personal training sessions.
Deliver teens and semi-private small group sessions throughout the year.
Manage coaches and ensure they uphold the standards.
Carry out new coach onboarding.
Co-lead the monthly coach workshop on the last Friday of each month.
Ensure coaches self-assess once per month.
Communicate class occupancy on the 1st of each month.
Weekly announcements and reminders to all coaches every Sunday.
Co-plan and execute monthly activations.
Ensure studio equipment is safe and maintained.
Collate member feedback and communicate to the Studio Manager.
Continually update clients' CRM profiles/notes in ProFit Connect.
Sales & Social Media
Be proactive in social media campaigns, supporting content creation.
Work with the Marketing Manager to ideate sales campaigns and activations.
Creating awareness of ongoing promotions, events and services.
Support FOH in communicating & following up with near or recently expired members.
Nurture new leads to convert them to full-paying members.
Boost studio revenue through assessments, PT, Teens, and semi-private programmes.
Support and track coaches' performance with PT and semi-private group targets.
Help retain and expand the member base through weekly member engagement.
Attend the JIP weekly meeting.
Participate in marketing activations in and outside the studio.
Assessments
Set targets for completed assessments each month.
Support FOH in communicating & following up with members to book.
Set realistic targets for anyone taking an assessment; these should be highlighted in their
ProFit Connect reports and followed up on every month.
Required Qualifications
Up-to-date REPs Level 3 Fitness Certification, or a qualification of equal standing.
Up-to-date basic First Aid Certification.
Any required qualifications must be maintained and kept up to date throughout employment.
