Job Description

The Swimming Head Coach will be responsible for leading and managing the competitive swimming program, developing athletes to their full potential, and organizing swimming events. The role requires strategic planning, effective training methods, and leadership to inspire swimmers to excel in competitions at regional, national, and international levels.

Key Responsibilities:

Design, implement, and oversee training programs for competitive swimmers across various age groups and skill levels. Develop seasonal and annual training plans, incorporating swimming techniques, endurance, speed, and strength development. Organize and coordinate swimming competitions, events, and time trials, ensuring compliance with governing body regulations. Monitor swimmer performance, analyze results, and provide constructive feedback to achieve continuous improvement. Foster a positive and motivating training environment that promotes teamwork, discipline, and sportsmanship. Recruit, mentor, and supervise assistant coaches and support staff. Ensure all athletes follow safety protocols, including pool safety and injury prevention. Manage administrative duties, including scheduling, event registration, budget planning, and equipment maintenance. Represent the team at competitions, meetings, and community events. Stay up to date with the latest swimming techniques, training methodologies, and competition rules.

Qualifications & Skills:

Proven experience as a competitive swimming coach, preferably at the head coach level. Strong understanding of competitive swimming techniques, training cycles, and athlete development. Excellent leadership, organizational, and communication skills. Ability to motivate and inspire athletes to achieve their goals. Certified lifeguard and CPR/First Aid qualifications (preferred or willingness to obtain). Knowledge of event management and competition regulations.
