Ensure all beverages meet the cafe's quality and presentation standards.
Monitor the calibration and maintenance of coffee machines and grinders.
Lead by example in preparing espresso-based and other beverages consistently and efficiently.
2. Staff Management & Training
Train, coach, and supervise baristas on coffee-making techniques, customer service, and SOPs.
Organize schedules and manage shift coverage in coordination with the Cafe Manager.
Motivate team members to meet performance and quality goals.
3. Customer Service
Deliver outstanding customer service and handle customer complaints professionally.
Support the team in creating a welcoming and positive environment for all guests.
4. Inventory & Ordering
Monitor and manage coffee bean and milk inventory, syrups, and barista tools.
Collaborate with management on ordering supplies and controlling waste.
5. Cleanliness & Safety
Maintain a clean and organized bar area at all times.
Ensure compliance with food safety and hygiene regulations.
6. Operational Duties
Assist with opening and closing procedures.
Prepare daily or weekly reports on beverage sales, customer feedback, and team performance.
Implement new recipes, seasonal drinks, and promotions as directed by management.
Qualifications:
Proven experience as a senior barista or head barista (minimum 2-3 years).
In-depth knowledge of specialty coffee, brewing methods, and espresso equipment.
Strong leadership and communication skills.
Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
Excellent organizational and time-management abilities.
Basic understanding of inventory management and POS systems.
Preferred Certifications (not mandatory):
Barista Certification (SCA or similar)
Food Safety or Hygiene Certification
