Job Description

The Hardware Technician is responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of computer hardware systems and related devices. This role ensures all IT hardware (desktops, laptops, printers, network devices, etc.) operate effectively and efficiently across the organization. The ideal candidate will be hands-on, detail-oriented, and capable of diagnosing and resolving hardware-related issues swiftly.

Hands on experience in configuring Office 365 products with cloud configurations.

Key Responsibilities:

Install, configure, and upgrade computer hardware components and peripheral equipment. Troubleshoot and repair faulty hardware, including motherboards, hard drives, RAM, power supplies, and other internal components. Maintain and service printers, scanners, UPS systems, and other IT-related equipment. Assist with network hardware setup, including routers, switches, patch panels, and cabling. Perform regular maintenance and health checks on company hardware systems. Keep track of inventory for all hardware components and recommend replacements or upgrades as needed. Coordinate with vendors for hardware procurement and warranty support. Support users with basic software installations and operating system configurations. Document issues, repairs, and resolutions using ticketing or asset management systems. Ensure compliance with company IT policies and security standards.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

Diploma or degree in Computer Hardware, IT, or a related technical field. Proven experience as a hardware technician or similar role (1-3 years minimum preferred). Good understanding of desktop/laptop architecture, peripheral devices, and basic networking. Knowledge of Active directory on Servers and Azure Knowledge of Office 365 emails and related cloud storage configurations Hands-on experience in diagnosing hardware faults and replacing parts. Familiarity with Windows, Linux, and basic BIOS/UEFI configurations. Strong problem-solving and communication skills. Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks.

Preferred Qualifications:

Certifications like for Hardware & Networking, or equivalent. Experience working in enterprise IT environments. Good knowledge of network troubleshooting and server hardware.

Working Conditions:

On-site support role; may require lifting equipment up to 20kg. Occasional travel to client locations. May require weekend or after-hours support in case of emergencies.

Pay: AED2,000.00 - AED3,000.00 per month
