Job Description

The Gymnastics Coach is responsible for delivering high-quality gymnastics instruction in a safe, positive, and engaging environment. This role includes teaching fundamental through advanced gymnastics skills, developing training plans, supervising athletes during practice and competitions, and fostering an atmosphere that promotes confidence, discipline, and athletic development.

Key Responsibilities

Coaching & Instruction

Teach gymnastics skills, progressions, strength, flexibility, and conditioning appropriate to each athlete's level. Develop and deliver age- and level-appropriate lesson plans. Provide clear demonstrations, corrections, and positive feedback. Ensure proper spotting and safe skill progression.

Athlete Development

Assess athletes' abilities and track progress over time. Prepare athletes for competitions, evaluations, and internal assessments. Set individual performance goals and monitor athlete growth.

Safety & Risk Management

Maintain a clean, safe, and organized training environment. Enforce gym safety rules and ensure equipment is set up and used correctly. Respond calmly and effectively to injuries or emergencies. Report safety concerns or equipment issues promptly.

Communication & Professionalism

Communicate regularly with parents, athletes, and staff regarding progress, schedules, and expectations. Collaborate with other coaches to ensure consistency across programs. Serve as a positive role model for athletes, promoting discipline, respect, and teamwork.

Administrative Duties

Assist in scheduling, class management, and athlete placements. Complete attendance, progress reports, and incident documentation. Participate in staff meetings, training sessions, and special events.

Qualifications

Previous gymnastics coaching experience (recreational or competitive level). Strong knowledge of gymnastics skills, technique, progressions, and safety standards. Ability to spot athletes safely and effectively. CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain). Excellent communication, motivational, and leadership skills. Patience, energy, and enthusiasm for working with children and young athletes.

Pay: AED3,000.00 - AED4,000.00 per month
