Job Purpose: dnata is one of the world\xe2\x80\x99s largest air and travel services providers; offering ground handling, cargo, travel and catering & retail services at over 130 airports in more than 30 countries across six continents. As a Ground Support Equipment (GSE) Planning Manager, you will plan, implement, and continuously improve the dnata Global Fleet Management Strategy, including the Sustainable Asset Management initiative, through the coordination and collaboration with dnata GSE Subject Matter Experts network wide. Including but not limited to: the development of technical specifications, sourcing, supplier relationships, maintenance practices, asset and fleet management, and telematics and maintenance management systems, with a view to delivering the optimum solution, appropriate consistency and standardisation, across the network while ensuring compliance with all local and national regulatory requirements. Continuously strive for and deliver fleet and cost optimisation through the development of fleet replacement and deployment strategies based on needs analyses and engagement standards, ensuring alignment with best practices. This is a full-time role based in Dubai and will include occasional business travel dnata network stations. In this role, you will: - Plan the implementation of the global fleet management strategy for dnata IAO, including the Sustainable Asset Management initiative. - Work collaboratively with dnata International Airport Operations (IAO), and dnata Catering (where applicable) through the GSE Subject Matter Experts, to implement, ensure alignment to and consistent application of the dnata Global fleet management strategy. - Review the local and the regional fleet management strategies to ensure improvement and alignment with the dnata global fleet management and sustainability strategies. - Develop the dnata Technical Services Operations Manual (dTSOM) ensuring alignment with standards in the dnata Ground Operations Manual (dGOM). - Ensure development, implementation and effective use of a Global Maintenance Management System and a Global GSE Telematics System to automate processes and capture all relevant data. - Lead the ongoing implementation and continuous improvement of the dnata Global fleet management strategy. - Lead by example representing dnata VMVs (Vision, Mission, Values), demonstrate and ensure a collaborative approach with other dnata stakeholders and support departments, including Group P&L, Finance and IT.
Qualifications & Experience: To be considered for the role, you must meet the below requirements: Bachelor Degree in Engineering preferably (Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, Automotive) and 8-10 years of experience in a related field with a minimum of 4 years experience in fleet management. Excellent communication and ability to build and maintain effective working relationships. across departments. Advanced analytical and presentation skills. Experience in developing and authoring top level fleet management procedures. Experience in rolling out policies in multiple sites. Safety awareness in ground handling operations and maintenance activities You\xe2\x80\x99ll have an edge if you have: Advanced understanding of principles of Lean methodologies.
