Job Description

About the Role:
As a Guest Service Agent, you will be the first and last point of contact for our guests. You will be responsible for providing a seamless, efficient, and warm welcome, ensuring all guest interactions are handled with the highest level of professionalism and cultural sensitivity, particularly for our Arabic-speaking clientele.
Key Responsibilities:

  • Guest Reception & Check-in/Check-out: Greet guests upon arrival, perform efficient check-ins and check-outs using the Opera PMS system, and verify guest payment methods.
  • Opera PMS Expertise: Utilize Opera PMS to manage reservations, update guest profiles, process no-shows, post charges, and handle room assignments and changes with proficiency.
  • Guest Relations: Provide a personalized welcome for all guests, with special attention to fulfilling the needs and preferences of our Arabic-speaking guests. Handle all inquiries and requests promptly and professionally.
  • Communication: Answer phone calls, direct calls appropriately, and take messages. Communicate effectively with all other hotel departments (Housekeeping, Maintenance, F&B) to fulfill guest needs.
  • Problem Resolution: Address and resolve guest complaints and issues swiftly and effectively, turning challenging situations into opportunities to demonstrate our commitment to excellent service.
  • Cashiering: Handle cash, credit card, and foreign currency transactions accurately. Maintain a balanced cash float.
  • Knowledge: Maintain a comprehensive knowledge of room rates, packages, promotions, hotel facilities, and local attractions to effectively assist guests.
  • Administration: Perform all necessary clerical duties, including filing, correspondence, and updating guest information in the system.
Qualifications & Requirements:
  • Must be fluent in Arabic and English (both written and verbal). Additional languages are a plus.
  • Non-negotiable Requirement: Proven hands-on experience with the Opera Property Management System (Opera PMS) is essential.
  • Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in a similar Front Office role within the hospitality industry, preferably in a luxury hotel environment.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills with a warm, engaging, and professional demeanor.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and a calm demeanor under pressure.
  • Impeccable personal presentation and grooming.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
