Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and experienced GRP/FRP Supervisor to oversee fabrication and repair works involving Glass Reinforced Plastic (GRP) and Fibre Reinforced Plastic (FRP) materials. The ideal candidate will have hands-on expertise in composite repair techniques and the leadership skills to manage a team of technicians while ensuring project timelines and quality standards are met.

Key Responsibilities:

Supervise GRP/FRP fabrication and repair work onboard vessels and at workshops. Lead and coordinate a team of GRP technicians, ensuring safe and efficient work practices. Interpret technical drawings, specifications, and project requirements. Plan daily work activities and allocate manpower and materials accordingly. Monitor quality control, ensuring all work meets internal and client standards. Ensure adherence to health and safety protocols on-site. Track project progress and report updates to project managers or engineering leads. Provide technical guidance and training to GRP team members.

Qualifications & Skills:

Technical Diploma or Certification in Mechanical/Marine/Composite Engineering (preferred). Extensive experience in GRP/FRP fabrication and repairs, especially in marine or industrial applications. Strong leadership skills with the ability to supervise and mentor a team. Familiarity with GRP layup, lamination, vacuum bagging, and molding techniques. Knowledge of material types, resin systems, and composite repair standards. Ability to read and understand engineering drawings and work instructions. Strong organizational, time management, and communication skills.
