The Group Sustainability Strategy and Policy Manager is responsible for developing, implementing, and overseeing sustainability policies and strategies across Al-Futtaim Group's operations in the UAE and international markets. The role ensures compliance with local and global environmental standards while driving initiatives related to climate policy, EV adoption, green building, circularity, and waste management. This position plays a key role in positioning Al-Futtaim as a sustainability leader through strategic planning, policy influence, and cross-divisional collaboration.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement sustainability policies that align with regulatory frameworks and Al-Futtaim's strategic objectives.
• Monitor evolving environmental regulations in markets such as the UAE, Saudi Arabia, and Egypt to ensure compliance and proactive adaptation.
• Collaborate with government agencies, industry associations, and NGOs to influence and align with sustainability legislation.
• Conduct research and analysis on emerging sustainability trends, including climate policy, EV infrastructure, green building standards, and waste management.
• Assess potential impacts of new policies on the organization and propose mitigation or adaptation strategies.
• Lead sustainability-related training and awareness programs across divisions to strengthen internal capacity.
• Prepare policy briefs, compliance reports, and sustainability progress documentation for management and stakeholders.
• Support divisions in integrating sustainability practices into operational frameworks and business plans.
• Facilitate knowledge sharing and alignment among sustainability champions across business units.
• Represent Al-Futtaim in sustainability forums and conferences, enhancing brand reputation and stakeholder engagement.

Ideal Profile

• Master's degree in Environmental Science, Sustainability, Public Policy, Law, or a related field.
• Minimum 10 years of experience in sustainability policy, environmental compliance, or regulatory affairs.
• Proven expertise in developing and implementing sustainability and environmental strategies.
• Strong understanding of regional and international sustainability regulations and frameworks.
• Advanced analytical and modeling skills for environmental and policy impact assessment.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
• Strategic thinker with a collaborative and proactive approach.
