The Enterprise Risk Manager will play an integral role in the rollout of a robust risk and resilience environment and will be expected to support the Enterprise Risk and Resilience team in implementing risk programmes across the Group.
The candidate must have strong knowledge and experience in facilitating the implementation of Enterprise Risk Management within a large multinational organisation. This includes the facilitation of risk workshops, analysis of data to identify risk trends, creation of detailed management reports and dashboards.
This role will require significant engagement and interaction across all areas of the business in multiple locations on an ongoing basis to ensure all key risks are being assessed and managed in an adequate manner.
Supporting DP World's ERM Framework, the successful candidate will play a pivotal role in rolling out the annual risk & internal controls self-assessment programme. Accordingly, experience in rolling out internal control frameworks is crucial.
Key Accountabilities:
Facilitate the roll out of the Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) Policy and Frameworks across the DP World Group
Liaising with the Business Units, Regional offices, Divisions and Corporate Functions to ensure key risks are identified and risk registers are maintained
Work closely with risk champions to assist in the review and monitoring activities, ensuring detailed analysis is performed as part of the quarterly review
Conduct detailed analysis across Regions, Divisions and Business Units to assist in the identification of key risk themes and trends that need to be escalated
Provide effective challenge of all risks, controls and assessments, ensuring they are correctly classified, appropriately recorded, and relevant actions are undertaken to minimise and/or mitigate business impact
Assist in the preparation of regular risk intelligence/analysis reports for senior management across the Group
Provide assistance in enhancing the ERM system and ensuring the tool is capable of supporting the continued momentum of risk management and to provide crucial risk analytics to support the ERR team
Help to arrange and facilitate risk identification workshops across DP World locations
Continuously review and make suggestions on the updates to the DPW risk category universe
Work closely with internal departments to facilitate and conduct adhoc risks assessments and be able to provide an independent risk view. This will also involve reviewing any mitigating controls measures that are implemented to ensure their effectiveness
Conducts research and horizon scanning to support identification and prioritisation of both current and emerging enterprise impacting risks.
Arrange and help conduct ERM training and awareness sessions to all relevant levels
Work closely with Group Internal Audit to ensure the Group operates within risk appetite and complies with the ERM Framework
Act as an ambassador for DP World at all times when working; promoting and demonstrating positive behaviours in harmony with DP World's Principles, values and culture; ensuring the highest level of safety is applied in all activities; understanding and following DP World's Code of Conduct and Ethics policies
Perform other related duties as assigned
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
Bachelor degree
Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in Enterprise Risk Management
Proven experience in ERM in the logistics industry and in driving ERM Programme through influencing senior business leaders, facilitating decision making and working with cross-functional teams in multi-cultural environment
Good knowledge on ERM standards including ISO 31000, The COSO ERM
Project/programme management skills - demonstrable track record successfully managing projects at technical and tactical levels, coordinating multi-discipline projects
Excellent analytical skills and understanding of processes, risks, and controls
Exceptional risks and issues management, change control
Excellent report writing skills
Good facilitator and Communicator
Excellent command of English (verbal/written)
Highly developed interpersonal skills with ability to effectively communicate and influence decision-making with senior management
