Job Purpose:
The purpose of the job is to manage digital solutions, including Health, Safety & Environment (HSE) Applications, in-house product, safety technology, AI implementation projects, PowerBI dashboards and global reporting. We are looking for a candidate to bridge the gap between the backend engineering and user experience (UX) / user interface (UI).
Group HSE Applications product is an in-house built digital platform used to perform health, safety and environment functions including tracking and reporting safety incidents, tracking sites under operational control, collecting environmental data, risk baseline assessments, due diligence audits and other core elements of a high performing HSE group. The DP World team comprises of highly skilled software engineers and business analysts. The position requires guiding the team, developing effective dashboards, reporting with clarity and purpose, and extensive stakeholder engagement (from the senior decision makers at the Head Office to local teams).
The candidate will collaborate closely with all functions within the department on enhancing operational safety, decarbonization & environmental impact, as well as learning, training and best practice sharing. The candidate is also expected to liaise with the training, learning & development team in rolling out HSE-related courses on the OneLearn platform.
The role requires a candidate with a strong understanding of back-end and front-end programming languages, and an ability to develop data pipelines that can be used to track, analyze, and improve data in our in-house digital solutions. The candidate should also possess excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills for working with a team to interpret large amounts of data.
Key Accountabilities:

• Support on all things related to product management, digital implementation and software development as well as maintenance of licenses (e.g. IMO database), learning, training and best practice sharing. Support interface with other systems and reporting mechanisms.
• Responsible for continuous improvement of User Experience (UX) and User Interface (UI) of the in-house solutions, which includes effective dashboards and reporting with clarity and purpose.
• Oversee requirements discovery, solution design, user story writing, feature development, and user acceptance testing. Partner regularly with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment on feature development and prioritization.
• Responsible for multi-stakeholder engagement including senior management, other Head Office departments (Operations and Engineering, Sustainability, Finance etc.), regional and local teams, Group Technology and others as needed.
• Conduct user research and usability studies, collaborating with designers, developers, practitioners and research teams throughout the process.
• Explore Artificial Intelligence applications across the in-house digital solutions related to health, safety and environment.
• Monitor and evaluate product performance to facilitate iteration and improvement. Review and continuous benchmarking of capabilities of the in-house solutions against the requirements of internal stakeholders, external reporting or compliance needs, and international best practice in HSE standards and digital technology (inc. Artificial Intelligence use cases in safety and environment management systems).
• Day to day management the existing high-performing team, including direct reports within the department and assigned shared services IT teams.
• Manage the product roadmap and backlog.

Qualifications, Skills and Experience:

• 10-15 years' experience in project management of digital solutions.
• Bachelor's/Master's in project management, software engineering, information systems, or other field related to digital technology.
• Experience in User Experience (UX), User Interface (UI) development, usability and user-focused design.
• Strong understanding of back-end and front-end programming languages, and an ability to develop data pipelines.
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
• Understanding and interest in supply chain, logistics, ports & terminals and maritime services.
• Passion for building great products to solve business problems.
