About Our Client
The organisation is an internationally renowned food and beverages corporation, who provide premium beverages and baked goods with over 10,000 restaurants worldwide spanning over 25 countries and had a revenue of over a billion dollars in 2019.
Roles and Responsibilities:
The Group cost controller will be responsible for managing all the production location financials with the main focus on product cost, value chain analysis and production and distribution overhead. He/she will be responsible for the end to end process of inventory from the point of receiving to issue and consumption of the product.
This professional will also be responsible for managing two cost accountants and will work closely with the CML and logistics team together with the operation team hence will be expected to spend most of the time in these locations.
Value chain analysis
Monthly evaluation of all production and distribution activities for all the manufacturing locations for the purpose of discovering areas of improvement and idea mark up for the products
Calculation of the product selling price depending upon the product cost and market standard
Analysing and guidance on areas to optimise cost in order to get the ideal selling price of the product
Product costing and pricing
Reviewing the existing recipes and pricing of the materials to calculate the ideal standard cost
Evaluating standard cost on a quarterly basis and updating wherever necessary
Working with the financial analyst and marketing team in costing of promotions to arrive at the ideal promo price
Cost of sales accounting
Responsible for driving and posting of cost of finished products sold
Determining and posting of packaging cost
Evaluate and account for wastage / throw away at all locations and providing the commentaries on the drivers of this
Costing of the overall CML, stores and warehouse operation and ensuring that this cost is accounted for accurately in the P&L
Inventory movement management
Ensuring that all items received from the suppliers reviewing the process of receiving and distributing of inventories are recorded in the system
Ensuring that the inventories dispatched for consumption are accounted for in the system
Coordinating monthly inventory stock count at all location
Prepare and share stocks reports with management indicating risk of short expiries or OOS
Control and discipline
Driving the discipline of ensuring that the available inventory systems are utilised at every level and used correctly
Drive the development of production SOP
Enforcing the use of HHDs by the logistic teams during dispatch and returns
Monitoring of the consumption in CML to make sure that the set recipes are followed during production
Reviewing and reporting wastage at CML
Conducting random inventory count
The Successful Applicant
Experience Requirements:
Qualified Accountant with minimum 3 years\' experience
Proven technical ability in F&B QSR business (F&B experience is necessary)
Experience with Accounting System, POS Systems and cost, and inventory systems.
Strong understanding of accounting standards
Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate at all levels with both financial and non-financial management
