Job Purpose

To provide accelerated development for UAE Nationals to become effective leaders in the future.

This covers the initial 2 years of the programme and should be reviewed in conjunction with each participant\'s detailed Development Plan and Performance Management Objectives. This initial phase is a foundational phase which provides leadership exposure, business challenge participation and development, which includes the most challenging leadership habits formation, practical tools, intensive training, business skills and coaching.

20Xel is an intensive programme to nurture and support participants to improve their thinking, develop their ability to lead high-performing teams, with entrepreneurial drive and problem solving skills, and with the ability to fulfil our purpose to create value, think ahead and build a long-lasting positive legacy globally.

Key Accountabilities
  • Assist in corporate-level initiatives as assigned, such as supporting the development of regional and corporate strategy, innovation, business expansion and shareholder value.
  • Support with project development and presentations
  • Where appropriate, review and make suggestions to Senior Management regarding initiatives affecting the global DP World portfolio including:
  • Mergers and acquisitions
  • Shareholder transactions
  • Evaluation of capital investment requirements
  • Refinancing of existing debt
  • Rationalization/divestment of business units
  • Improvements to business policies and procedures
  • Active participation and lead on business challenges as requested.
  • Gain knowledge, practical exposure and experience within the DP World business and contribute to thought leadership and business projects to further enhance the positioning of DP World.
  • Active participation in all assigned development programmes delivered by DPW.
  • Take personal responsibility for implementing what is learned.
Gain an understanding and full appreciation of:
  • DP World\'s business now and plans for the future
  • Executive communication and presentation skills
  • Finance, including financial plans, analyses, forecasts and budgets
  • Project Management
  • Marketing & Branding awareness of local commercial, industrial and trade developments
  • Demonstrate an understanding of customer expectation and operational constraints towards applying this knowledge commercially (e.g. negotiations and agreements)
  • Collaboration, ideation and joining parties together towards creating new value
  • DP World\'s business and operations and contribute towards departmental goals and objectives
  • Develop key competencies namely analytical thinking, information seeking, initiative, achievement orientation, organisational awareness, leadership and teamwork.

  • Act as an ambassador for DP World at all times when working; promoting and demonstrating positive behaviours in harmony with DP World\'s Principles, values and culture; ensuring the highest level of safety is applied in all activities; understanding and following DP World\'s Code of Conduct and Ethics policies
  • Perform other related duties as assigned
Qualifications, Experience and Skills

  • Minimum Bachelor\'s degree related to the assigned department.
  • Microsoft Office skills (Powerpoint, Word. Excel).
  • Excellent inter-personal, verbal and written communication skills, including meeting facilitation and presentations.
