Job Description
Azooz is currently seeking an Operations Leader for First Mile, Mid Mile, and Last Mile. This role is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of courier and freight businesses, with a specific focus on the first mile (collection) and mid mile (linehaul & customs clearance), and last mile (delivery) of the supply chain. The primary goal is to ensure that all operational processes are streamlined and optimized to meet the customer SLA and requirements and operational objectives. Additionally, he will be responsible for optimizing the technology systems used in the first-mile, mid-mile, and last-mile operations to drive efficiency and meet operational goals. The operations team leader will manage a diverse workforce in the organization to ensure efficient day-to-day operations. He implements processes and programs, ensures helpful services for customers, and oversees the maintenance of buildings, machinery, and equipment. Also, have excellent organizational and communication skills. Key responsibilities include:
- Develop and implement operational and technology strategies to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the first-mile and last-mile operations.
- Manage and oversee our courier territories and continuously review for territory calibration to ensure the best performance and earnings for our courier.
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and use data to identify areas for improvement and drive operational excellence.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to drive innovation, efficiency, and cost-effectiveness.
- Develop and manage capacity planning and forecasting models to ensure adequate resources are available to meet operational demands.
- Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s degree in Operations Management, Supply Chain Management, or a related field
- 3+ years of experience in courier, transportation, or logistics operations, with a focus on first-mile and last-mile operations
- Strong knowledge of operational processes, courier, transportation, logistics, and supply chain management.
- Strong analytical skills, with experience in using data to drive operational performance.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Muscat: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)
