DESCRIPTION

As we rapidly grow our business, we are seeking a senior commercial executive, to take on the role as the AWS Enterprise Greenfield Area Leader across MENAT, reporting into the MENAT Leader. In this role you will lead the the MENAT Enterprise Greenfield business for the commercial sector to continue to accelerate, by building a strong growth strategy through inspirational leadership and focused execution. We are looking for an experienced Leader of Leaders with prior executive sales experience, adept at delivering growth in early stage organizations through to full scale-up environments, to own and scale the business with our most promising customer accounts.

Key job responsibilities
  • Strategic Leadership and Execution. Define and implement the area\'s strategic priorities, ensuring alignment with the broader EMEA AGS vision. Direct the strategic execution of team priorities, and manage complex customer requirements. Develop the short, medium, and long-term Area Enterprise Greenfield strategy including critical scaling mechanisms like marketing, sales plays and campaigns, executive engagement, skills and enablement
  • Direct leadership of the MENAT Enterprise Greenfield sales team in building and executing a strong local go-to-market strategy leveraging the full strength of Amazon and AWS to accelerate revenue growth, including developing opportunity pipeline, driving revenue growth and user adoption as well as direct sales engagements cross key industry verticals acting as executive sponsor for key customer and partner relationships.
  • Customer and Sales Engagement. Lead complex sales initiatives from inception to close, driving new business, and sustaining existing relationships. Prioritize customer meetings and engagements for maximum impact, ensuring comprehensive follow-through.
  • Build and leverage C-suite executive relationships with external stakeholders (customers, partners, government, regulatory bodies, press/media) to further adoption of AWS services in the market.
  • Executive Communication and Collaboration. Develop and articulate executive communication strategies in line with organizational goals. Collaborate across AWS to drive high-impact initiatives, leveraging insights to inform decision-making.
  • Define a comprehensive Enterprise Greenfield partner strategy to scale and grow Enterprise Greenfield through the partner ecosystem including global and national system integrators, consulting and technology partners.
  • Team Development and Management: Build, mentor, develop and lead a high-performing sales team focused on new business development within the Greenfield area. Maintain a strong pipeline and consistently meet or exceed revenue and MBO targets.
  • Innovation and Market Influence: Engage in customer and industry associations, business governance bodies to expand AWS\'s influence in the cloud marketplace. Foster an inclusive and diverse culture, championing Amazon\'s Culture of Innovation.
  • Be an active member of your Area Senior Leadership team, and a co-owner of business strategy creation, execution and delivering the overall AWS Area commercial sector business result.
A day in the life
We are looking for a self-starter who is prepared to develop, own and execute the Enterprise Greenfield strategy in line with AWS strategic direction and MENAT initiatives including defining market segment strategy, ensuring effective executive engagement with Enterprise Greenfield customers, and achieving scale through partners, marketing and the Central Sales function. This pivotal role involves crafting and executing innovative strategies to acquire new customers and deepen AWS\'s market penetration in MENAT. We seek a customer-focused, strategic, and proactive leader with a passion for maximizing the impact and scale of our commercial leadership team.

The AWS Enterprise Greenfield Area Leader is an individual with executive presence who can speak fluently about our business and investments across MENAT and suitably represent our business with customer and partner executives, with Government and Regulators as well as with external press, media and at official events/speaking engagements. This leader will bring strong C-level relationships (in line-of-business and IT/CIO functions) to help further establish AWS as the leader in enterprise cloud computing. In this role, you will have a direct responsibility to empower and inspire customers to leverage AWS innovations, to power their digital transformation journey in the cloud, to deliver business value. You will establish and maintain strong executive customer relationships.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
  • 10+ years of experience in technology-related sales, business development, or consulting within IT, Cloud, SaaS, Analytics, Mobile, or eCommerce sectors.
  • 5+ years developing CEO level relationships across large enterprises and demonstrated \'door opening\' capability
  • Proven leadership ability, with a minimum of 5 years in managing high-performance sales teams and executing successful sales plans.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with proficiency in English.
  • Experience in complex decision-making and navigating ambiguous scenarios.
  • BA/BS degree required.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • A technical background in engineering, computer science, or MIS a plus.
  • Commercial and contract negotiation experience
