Are you a motivated Mechanical Engineering graduate with a passion for designing the smart, sustainable buildings of tomorrow? AECOM is excited to welcome a Graduate Mechanical Engineer to our Buildings Engineering team as part of our Graduate Program in the UAE.
Role Overview
As a Graduate Mechanical Engineer at AECOM, you will be immersed in real project work from day one. Under the guidance of senior engineers, you will contribute to the planning and design of complex building systems. Your focus will be on developing safe, reliable, and efficient electrical systems that meet the evolving needs of modern buildings - supporting everything from power distribution and lighting to smart technologies and energy solutions.
Key Responsibilities

• Assist in the design and specification of electrical systems including power distribution, lighting, fire

alarms, and communication networks

• Support the integration of energy-efficient solutions
• Contribute to BIM model development and collaborate with other disciplines including architecture,

mechanical, and structural teams

• Ensure technical accuracy and compliance with project requirements, design briefs, and relevant codes

and standards

• Help deliver sustainable and innovative solutions that contribute to high-performing, resilient, and

intelligent buildings
Qualifications
Minimum Requirements
1. Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering
2. Candidates must be recent 2024 or 2025 graduates to be eligible for AECOM's Graduate Program.
3. Successful applicants must have achieved a minimum GPA of 2.8 (or equivalent) and above.
4. Available to start in December 2025
5. As part of AECOM's commitment to Emiratisation and in compliance with UAE labour law, only
UAE Nationals with a family book will be considered for this role.
