As a Software Engineer Intern member of Oracle Labs, you will be responsible for defining and developing Java developer tools to support Java microservices developer utilizing various cloud infrastructure. Primary tooling target is VSCode as the IDE which GCN developer will use and where solution is delivered. Your Java development experience is important as well as ability to code, develop and understand JavaScript which is the language used by VSCode. Work is non-routine and very complex, involving the application of advanced technical/business skills in area of specialization. Can work individually and as a team member. BS or MS degree or equivalent experience relevant to functional area. 2+ years of software engineering or related experience.

What to Expect from the job: Working on the definition of GCN tools how they can simplify our customers development cycle and what are the scenarios when GCN is used with various cloud providers. Design and develop JavaScript/TypeScript VSCode extension which works with GCN Java source code utilizing various clouds Design and develop standalone CLI tools or Maven/Gradle plugins to help customers achieve their objectives with GCN Learning and understanding various cloud providers, their APIs and how various services are deployed and run there. Working, as part of a team, build out the new generation of serverless computing Taking ownership of product quality. Qualifications: 2+ years software development experience. Skills in JavaScript/TypeScript development Skills in Java development (at least junior level) Understanding main Java build tools Maven and Gradle Customer success skills

Bonus Qualifications: Deep understanding of Java and JavaScript/TypeScript MS in Computer Science or a related technical field or equivalent practical experience. Experience with larger projects (large code bases) Experience in working with Cloud technologies related to the above
