Job title: Services Principal Consultant
Location: Abu Dhabi, Hybrid (50% of the working time)

Role:
This senior engineering leadership role involves guiding cross-functional teams through the full project lifecycle - from initial concept to final delivery. He/She will be working closely with Project Manager ensuring projects remain on schedule, within budget, and meet high quality standards of deliverables. The successful candidate will provide technical expertise in process design, equipment selection, and system integration, leveraging tools such as process optimization, simulation, and predictive analytics. Also extensive knowledge in AI technologies and how AVEVA portfolio can emerge with it is mandatory. He/She will mentor team members, collaborate with clients and contractors, and drive continuous improvement by identifying process efficiencies and technological advancements.
Key Responsibilities:

• Lead cross-functional engineering teams by providing technical direction.
• Mentor team members to ensure alignment with project requirements and company standards.
• Oversee projects from concept to completion, ensuring they are delivered on time. Within the budget and meet quality standards.
• Deliver technical knowledge in areas such as process design, equipment selection, and system integration.
• Knowledge and Experience on tools like Process Optimisation, Process Simulation, Predictive analytics applications, integration with different data platforms.
• Identify potential issues and implement mitigation strategies.
• Collaborate effectively with clients, contractors, and internal teams to ensure successful project communication and coordination.
• Perform economic and technical analysis of requirements and provide efficient solution.
• Develop and lead discussion on value realisation KPI/metrics to project against baselines.
• Contribute to the development and refinement of long-term solution roadmaps and technology architecture.
• Define and develop process/guidelines for integrated solutions including AVEVA and customer's in-house application, including third-party AI tools
• Leverage data analytics and digital tools to improve decision-making and operations
• Advise on strategies for operational improvement, maintenance efficiencies and asset integrity
• Conduct technical discussions with clients, understand their needs, and present the value proposition
• Foster continuous improvement by exploring opportunities for process efficiency, cost reduction, and technological advancement.

Skills & Qualifications:
Ideal Skills

• Bachelor's or master's degree in a relevant Engineering discipline (e.g. Chemical, Mechanical, Electrical, Petroleum, Computer Science)
• Extensive experience (15+ years) in process tools like Real-Time Optimisation (RTO), Advanced Process Control (APC)
• Proven track record in the oil and gas industry with significant experience leading complex ad large-scale projects in Middle East.
• Thorough understanding of engineering principles, design practices, and industry standards.
• Excellent leadership abilities and clear communication skills to effectively convey technical information to both technical and non-technical audience.
• Knowledge in developing energy balances and energy efficiency calculations for various processes
• Knowledge in Energy Management Systems and understanding of applicable requirements and standards
• Expertly solve complex problems by applying analytical techniques and innovative solutions.
• Experience with project management frameworks such Agile or Waterfall methodologies.
• Travel to customer sites/facilities
