Job Summary

The Principal Auditor position at our organization is pivotal in ensuring the robustness of our internal controls, risk management, and governance processes. By aligning these processes with globally accepted operations and audit standards, the ideal candidate will bring depth to our auditing functions. With substantial expertise in the field and significant audit experience, the Principal Auditor plays an integral role in guiding our internal audit strategy and practices.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead and manage the full audit cycle, adhering to the department\'s methodology and guidelines. Mentor and coach team members as required.
  • Act as the Audit Reviewer for engagements, ensuring adherence to our Internal Audit (IA) processes and methodologies.
  • Coordinate across all IA Departments, ensuring the maintenance and application of the IA charter, policies, procedures, and more.
  • Determine the effectiveness of our internal control environment on various engagements. Stay updated with best practices, adopt data analytics methods, leverage technology, and ensure adherence to updated IA standards.
  • Develop and manage the annual audit plan, ensuring all auditable entities are ranked based on risk.
  • Uphold and promote the Rules of Conduct as per the IIA/IPPF requirements.
  • Assist the AEC and other jurisdictions with their auditing activities, recognizing patterns, following up on findings, and engaging in related projects.
  • Guide newer staff in refining their auditing skills and understanding business activities, as part of our Continuous Professional Development initiative.
Requirements:
  • Relocation: Permanent relocation to Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
  • Educational Qualifications:
  • Bachelor\'s Degree in Engineering (minimum)
  • MBA (desired)
  • Professional audit certifications (e.g., CIA, CPEA, etc.) preferred
  • Experience:
  • 10 to 15 years in the field with large/global companies
  • 4 years in internal/external audit
  • 3 years in an Audit Team Lead role
  • Skills & Expertise:
  • Strong communication, presentation, reporting, and planning skills
  • Proficiency in Root Cause Analysis (RCA) techniques
  • Demonstrated team management during audits and projects
  • Command of the English language
  • Familiarity with Corporate Governance, Risk Management, and Internal Control Systems
  • Knowledge of audit professional standards (IIA/IPPF)
  • Expertise in Manufacturing and Project functions
  • Familiarity with other audit jurisdictions
