Job Summary

We are seeking a Field Metals Mechanic to join our the department. This department is responsible for providing the required line maintenance of all refining and NGL rotating equipment in term of preventive maintenance, troubleshoot and repair. Your primary role will be to provide work direction and supervision to a crew of field metals mechanics in the installation, maintenance, and repair of plant piping systems, pressure vessels, heat exchangers, boilers, and related equipment in our industrial facilities. You will also supervise work crews on plant T&Is.

Responsibilities:
  • Installation, maintenance, and repair of piping systems within an industrial setting, encompassing pipework, pressure vessels, heat exchangers, boilers, and related equipment.
  • Identification of necessary repairs and replacement parts for the equipment.
  • Execution of tasks like cutting, threading, bending, joining, removing, installing, and assembling pipe fittings made from carbon steel, stainless steel, and non-metallic materials.
  • Removal, repair, and installation of tubes within heat exchangers and condensers.
  • Cleaning, repairing, and installing boiler tubes and burners, alongside expanding and plugging boiler tubes.
  • Assisting with minor rigging operations and providing support to rigging crews during significant lifting operations.
  • Conducting hydro-tests on piping systems.
Requirements:
  • An associate degree in mechanical and fabrication engineering from a recognized and approved program is required, and an advanced degree is preferred.
  • 8+ years of experience in providing work direction, technical guidance, and supervision to work crews involved in fabricating, welding, and repairing plant pressure vessels, piping, and auxiliary equipment.
  • Comprehensive understanding and adherence to various work permit type requirements.
  • Profound knowledge of field mechanic and fabrication principles.
  • Demonstrable strong analytical and troubleshooting skills in the domain of piping and construction installation.
