Job Summary

We are currently seeking a highly skilled Control Systems Engineer to join our dynamic team. The refinery, with a capacity of 250,000 BPD, is situated in Western Saudi Arabia. In this role, you will be responsible for managing and enhancing the operability, efficiency, and safety of various control systems including Honeywell DCS and ESD systems, in compliance with international standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on control systems.
• Provide diagnostic support and conduct Root Cause Analysis for issue resolution.
• Recommend improvements in control system components such as hardware, software, and procedures.
• Conduct administrative tasks including writing technical reports, managing material orders, and tracking expenses.
• Interface effectively with Operations, Maintenance, and Engineering teams.
• Ensure adherence to Environment, Health, and Safety policies and international standards.
• Support Plant and Equipment startup processes including Prestart up safety reviews.
• Respond promptly and effectively during emergencies.
• Manage configuration and logic in DCS and ESD systems, including graphics modifications.
• Oversee alarm management activities and implement vendor recommendations for system updates.
• Design, specify, select, and service Basic Process Control Systems, Safety Systems, PLCs, etc.
• Assist in developing control philosophy and functional descriptions.
• Manage vendor contracts including maintenance and parts management.

Requirements:

• Willingness to permanently relocate to Dhahran, Saudi Arabia.
• Bachelor\'s degree in Instrumentation, Electronics, Electrical, or Computer Science. Advanced degrees preferred.
• A minimum of 8 years\' experience in Industrial Automation Systems, with at least 5 years in DCS and ESD systems.
• Proficiency in Honeywell TDC-3000 or Honeywell Experion DCS systems.
• Knowledge of Rockwell PLC & HMI, Triconex ESD, CCC, Bentley Nevada systems is preferred.
• Experience in establishing communication interfaces using Ethernet Network and Modbus.
• Basic networking knowledge and familiarity with relevant industrial codes and standards.
• Proficient in Windows server, MS SQL server, VMWare, and virtualization technologies.
• Capability to develop engineering drawings, wiring schematics, loop diagrams, and power distribution for control systems.
• Understanding of SIL fundamentals and Alarm Management principles.
• Additional certifications like ISA CFSP, TUV, PMP are advantageous.
• Experience in multinational and multicultural environments is a plus.
