(The role) Reporting to the Employee Relations Lead, you will be the expert point of contact for our client employee ER cases, from start through to completion, with support from our internal legal team. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who has a comprehensive understanding of employment law principles and wants to work across multiple jurisdictions. Your day to day will include:
  • Advise clients on the best practices in handling the employee relations matters, i.e. dismissals, performance management, grievances and disciplinaries, redundancies, TUPE, etc.
  • Carry out the grievance and disciplinary proceedings for the client employees from start to completion
  • Carry out the dismissals of client employees, in collaboration with the client and the Customer Services Team i.e. advise, draft termination documents and handle employee communications
  • Carry out the performance management plans for the client employees in collaboration with the clients and the Customer Services Team
  • Provide expert advice and training to internal stakeholders for employee relations matters
  • Implement processes for a variety of client employee matters, i.e. disciplinary, grievance, dismissals etc.
  • Collaborate with the Trade Unions
  • Help us build an internal knowledge base across multiple jurisdictions
  • Review the client employee people programs, policies, and practices and ensure they are compliant with the relevant employment law
  • Work alongside the legal team on debt collection and pre-litigation cases
  • Work with the internal stakeholders on various projects and initiatives, in accordance with the wider company strategic plans
  • Coordinate between internal and external stakeholders: Legal, Ops, clients, client employees and the local service providers on employee relations matters and build collaborative relationships
  • Positively support and champion change across the organisation

  • Handling complex dismissals, performance reviews, grievance and disciplinary proceedings, TU negotiations
  • Interpreting the employment law principles and applying the knowledge to particular cases across multiple jurisdictions
  • Working well under pressure and to tight deadlines
  • Handling difficult conversations in a professional manner

  • Has a minimum 10 years of experience and/or relevant legal qualification
  • Has a comprehensive understanding of the employment law principles and their application in the employee relations context across multiple jurisdictions
  • Is solution driven and commercially aware
  • Is a highly effective communicator with strong negotiation skills
  • Has a strong attention to detail
  • Has a problem-solving ability
  • Can speak French or Italian
  • Is based in EMEA
What would make you really stand out? (Bonus points)
  • Worked in the EOR industry previously
  • Experience in Italy, France, Sweden, Norway, Denmark, Portugal, Greece, Belgium, Netherlands, Switzerland
  • Experience/knowledge of the APAC jurisdictions
