Position Overview:

We are seeking a skilled

GIS Specialist

to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing, managing, and analyzing geospatial data to support various engineering and planning projects. This role requires strong technical proficiency in GIS applications, data management, and spatial analysis.

Key Responsibilities:

Develop, manage, and maintain GIS databases, shapefiles, and spatial datasets. Perform spatial analysis and mapping to support engineering and infrastructure projects. Integrate GIS data with CAD and other engineering platforms. Produce high-quality maps, reports, and visualizations for project presentations. Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and compliance with project standards. Collaborate with engineers, planners, and project managers to deliver GIS solutions. Support field data collection and integration using GPS and mobile GIS tools.

Qualifications & Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in Geography, Geomatics, GIS, Environmental Science, or related field. Minimum of

3-5 years of professional experience

in GIS within engineering or infrastructure projects. Proficiency in

ArcGIS, QGIS, AutoCAD, and related spatial analysis tools.

Strong understanding of coordinate systems, projections, and data formats. Experience in GIS database management and geoprocessing automation (Python or ModelBuilder is a plus). Excellent communication and teamwork skills. UPDA/MMUP certification will be an advantage. Candidates

must be based in Qatar

with a valid work visa or transferable sponsorship.
