GIS Specialist

to join our publishing team.

The role involves collecting, analyzing, and visualizing geographic data to support decision-making across projects and departments.

Candidates must be available to work full time in our Dubai office.

The role involves:

Collect, process, and maintain spatial data from various sources (satellite imagery, GPS, surveys, etc.) Design, update, and manage GIS databases, ensuring data accuracy and integrity Produce high-quality maps, visualizations, and reports for internal and external stakeholders Analyze spatial data to identify patterns, relationships, and trends Support planning, environmental, infrastructure, logistics, or land-use projects with spatial analysis Develop and automate GIS workflows using tools such as Python, SQL, or ModelBuilder Provide GIS training and technical support to team members and end-users Stay updated with advancements in GIS software, data management, and mapping technologies

Position Requirements

Advanced knowledge of GIS data editing, geospatial analysis, and coordinate systems. Proficient in QGIS, ArcGIS, and Enterprise Geodatabases (PostgreSQL). Skilled in Adobe Illustrator and MS Excel. Strong understanding of spatial data structures and GIS fundamentals. Experience with web GIS platforms (ArcGIS Online, Mapbox, Leaflet). Knowledge of programming for GIS (Python, SQL, JavaScript). Strong cartographic design and visualization skills. Familiarity with remote sensing and spatial data integration. Experience working to international GIS standards and best practices.
