As a GIS engineer, you will be part of our geo department of Global Engineering, the engineering department within Boskalis Offshore Energy Division.
Responsible for collecting, managing, and analysing GIS data, the point of contact for internal clients for the various tenders and projects that require GIS support. On one hand, you will have a focus on spatial data analysis, from simply visualising data to solutions for project management support, and on the other hand, a focus on hands-on GIS deliverables for various projects. You will prepare maps, graphs, and reports, and maintain and update GIS databases. In a broader perspective, you will assist in improving business processes with the aid of GIS.
You'll be working together with a multinational team of geo- and GIS specialists, all with their own talents and expertise in engineering geology, geotechnics, geophysics, and GIS, and also with the tender, project teams, and the survey department.
Your qualities
You can make your mark as a GIS Engineer if you have:

• Bachelor's degree in (applied) Geoscience engineering, Engineering Geology, or geophysics.
• Master's degree in GIS.
• A minimum of 3 years or more of relevant GIS experience is desirable
• You have a strong knowledge of ArcGIS enterprise/ArcGIS online.
• Experience with FME desktop/server is preferred
• Experience/affinity with programming in Python.

• Full-time/ part-time job: The position of GIS Engineer is a full-time job.
