We are seeking a compassionate and experienced Geriatric Medicine Doctor to provide specialized healthcare services to our elderly patients. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of the unique needs and challenges of aging individuals and possess the skills to provide comprehensive medical care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conducting thorough medical examinations and assessments of elderly patients
- Diagnosing and treating various health conditions and illnesses common in the elderly population
- Collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to develop patient care plans
- Prescribing and administering medications and treatments as needed
- Performing procedures specific to geriatric medicine such as joint injections and skin biopsies
- Educating patients and their families on ways to manage and prevent age-related health issues
- Providing end-of-life care and support to patients and their families
- Maintaining accurate and detailed medical records
Qualifications:
- Medical degree from an accredited institution
- Valid medical license and registration
- Board certification in Geriatric Medicine
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in geriatric medicine or a related field
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities
- Ability to work well in a team environment
- Empathy and patience towards elderly patients
