Main Job Purpose:

A Geotechnical Engineer specializes in analyzing soil, rock, and groundwater conditions to ensure the stability and safety of construction projects. They provide critical input for foundation design, earthworks, and risk mitigation strategies.

Key Responsibility:

Site Investigation & Analysis:

Evaluate field investigations, drillings, and sampling of soil, rock and groundwater data.

Perform special laboratory tests to determine soil properties (permeability, modulus of elasticity, triaxial).

Assess of pavement conditions, ground improvements methods and pavement design.

Design & Recommendations:

Develop and evaluation of foundation designs, retaining walls and slope stabilization plans based on geotechnical data.

Prepare geotechnical reports with findings, analyses and recommendations.

Construction Support:

Monitor geotechnical aspects during construction to ensure compliance with design specifications.

Provide technical advice to resolve ground-related issues during execution.

Ensure adherence to safety and environmental regulations

Collaboration & Compliance:

Work closely with civil engineers, designers, and contractors to integrate geotechnical findings into project plans.

Obtain necessary permits and ensure compliance with local and international standards.
