Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented

Geotechnical Engineer

to join our team! In this role you will get to

design ground engineering solutions for a wide variety of infrastructure and development projects

across Dubai, the UAE and the wider Gulf region.

opportunity for advancement with top performance. We need our engineers to be versatile, enthusiastic to work in highly flexible, team oriented environment and who have exceptional communication, analytical and management skills. In this role plan and design earthworks,


foundations and ground engineering in relation to bridges, railroads, roads, airports, harbours, dams, irrigation projects, pipelines, tunnels, power plants and other projects. Analyzes proposed projects to ensure geotechnical reliability, resource efficiency and cost-effectiveness.


Performs a variety of engineering duties and may identify as sub-disciplines of Civil Engineering such as: geotechnical, municipal/urban and/or coastal engineering.

Responsibilities

Prepares standard geotechnical engineering computations / analysis, including soil-structure interaction where required.

Completes a variety of assignments such as drawings, specifications, and other materials suitable for procurement and


construction purposes, utilizing CAE/CAD as applicable.
Prepares, material quality takeoffs, estimates, surveys, and designs including specifications. Prepares detailed requisitions for equipment and materials. Reviews small and portions of larger supplier drawing submittals and assists in performing technical bid analyses. Prepares and issues specifications, data sheets, and other construction documents. Provides input and technical guidance to CAD Designer/Drafters, Designers, and lower level Engineers working on the same

project.
Performs other responsibilities associated with this position as may be appropriate.

What Required Skills You'll Bring:

Bachelor's degree in Civil or Geotechnical Engineering (or related field) and 2+ years of related work experience. Experience in geotechnical engineering / soil mechanics analysis and design is essential. Working knowledge of CAD and other PC software typically associated with geotechnical and civil engineering is required

What Desired Skills You'll Bring:

Master's degree in Civil or Geotechnical Engineering (or related field) is an advantage. Engineer in Training (EIT) Certificate (or equivalent) is an advantage. Working knowledge of Ground Investigation scope development, execution and interpretation.
