Black & Grey HR is currently recruiting for an electro-mechanical company based in Abu Dhabi, UAE. Our client is seeking a skilled and experienced individual to join their team as a GIS Editor and contribute to their geospatial data management efforts.

As a GIS Editor, your primary responsibility will be to manage and edit geospatial data using GIS software and tools. This will involve verifying and validating information from various sources to ensure data accuracy and quality. You will collaborate closely with internal teams to gather requirements and provide GIS support for project deliverables. Your expertise in analyzing and interpreting spatial data will play a key role in generating meaningful information to aid decision-making processes. Additionally, you will be responsible for maintaining and updating GIS databases, identifying and resolving data discrepancies and inconsistencies to ensure data integrity.

To succeed in this role, you should have a strong background in GIS technologies, exceptional attention to detail, and the ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team. It is also essential to stay updated with the latest GIS technologies, tools, and best practices to enhance data editing and visualization capabilities.

Requirements

- Bachelor\'s degree in Geography, GIS, Cartography, or a related field.

- Minimum of 3 years of professional experience as a GIS Editor or in a similar role.

- Proficiency in using GIS software such as ArcGIS, QGIS, or similar tools.

- Strong knowledge of geospatial data formats, standards, and coordinate systems.

- Experience in editing and managing large datasets in a GIS environment.

- Familiarity with data manipulation techniques, spatial analysis, and geo processing workflows.

- Solid understanding of cartographic principles and the ability to create high-quality maps.
