Job Description

JOB PURPOSE:

The purpose of this job is to;

Oversee the service departments of the recycling cast house develop and implement an annual plan for the procurement of the required materials for plant operations such as Scrap, Alloys, Consumables, Refractory and Relining Materials,... in close cooperation with the procurement team to manage cordial relationships with vendors to ensure delivery of optimal quality and cost-effective materials and services in line with the recycling casthouse needs and complying with approved policies and standards. provide regular support in budget preparation/forecast for Financial Planning. provide frequent reports showing the progress in accordance with the established plans.

Promotes safe and efficient processes and awareness in the remelt cast house to accomplish Zero Accidents, top quality products and lowest possible emissions and production costs Takes on responsibility to establish maintains excellent housekeeping and 5S standards Supports the EHS Council and makes performance enhancement and continuous improvements to reduce risks to safety and the environment

Policies, Processes and Procedures

Develops and implements approved departmental policies, processes, procedures and provides instructions to subordinates and monitor their adherence so that work is carried out in a controlled, safe and compliant manner.

Day-to-day operations

Is managing the Service Department Team of the Remelt Cast House Implements the day-to-day operations required to ensure the availability of Alloys, Scrap and Consumables as well as Refractory and Relining Materials department to ensure compliance with the established standards and procedures. Monitors inventory of materials and liaises with Warehouse and/or Operations to ensure optimum inventory levels are maintained.

Planning and requesting Materials

Reviews EGA's Alloys, Scrap, Consumables, Refractory and Relining Materials procurement needs to issue purchase requests and activities to meet the Remelt Cast House requirements within the required timeframes. Ensure that mold, table and tool preventive maintenance is performed within the required time frames and costs to ensure highest quality and efficient production of goods.

AUTHORITY/ DECISION MAKING:

Works independently and leads the Service teams of the Recycling Casthouse. In compliance with established procedures and to co-ordinate proper implementation of Inventory optimization techniques Decisions are made in line with the strategy and values of the organization Decides how to optimise / address staffing requirements. Allocates tasks to teams. Makes decisions about suggestions for improvement.

QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, preferably with specialization in Supply Chain/ Material Management, or any related specialization.

Minimum Experience

6 years relevant experience in EGA or in a such a function in a similar industry.

Skills:

Highest ESG awareness and right attitude Good knowledge of the Aluminium industry. Leadership skills and team player * Excellent written and communication skills.
