The General Services Assistant will play a crucial role in supporting the efficient functioning of various administrative and operational aspects within the General Services Department at ADSM. This position requires a proactive and detail-oriented individual who can thrive in a fast-paced and collaborative environment.
Responsibilities
Assist in ensuring that the campus emergency procedures are followed.
Assist in ensuring first aids kits and fire extinguishers are kept up in an operating condition.
Assist in general office tasks, including filing, photocopying, and data entry.
Assist in scheduling and coordination of meetings and events within the department.
Coordinate with the cleaning team to ensure cleanliness of common areas, meeting rooms, and workspaces.
Coordinate maintenance and repairs of equipment and facilities within ADSM.
Assist in monitoring and replenishing office supplies
Assist in providing building maintenance and respond to maintenance requests
Assist in providing office supplies upon request and manage the copier machines
Support the planning and execution of ADSM\xe2\x80\x99 events, lectures, workshops, and seminars.
Assist with logistics, setup, and coordination of events to ensure smooth operations
Work closely with the General Services Supervisor to manage catering companies, cafeteria, and vending machines.
Respond to inquiries and requests from faculty, staff, and students in a professional manner.
Draft and edit routine correspondence, announcements, and reports as needed
Work collaboratively with the General Services Supervisor and other administrative staff to ensure cohesive departmental operations.
Liaise with external vendors and service providers as directed.
Skills
Minimum of a Secondary Diploma, university degree is preferable.
